Victoria United FC faces a challenge familiar to many businesses and organizations when it comes to on-site branding, directional and sponsor signage. They neither own the venue they play at nor are they its main tenant, which is the case with their home field, Royal Athletic Park. This challenge is compounded when they play at other venues in the local area where they also play from time to time.

They needed several large outdoor sign solutions which would look professional to meet the graphics demand of their many sponsor logos and also needed to be portable such that when the match was over, the signs would also vanish, only to reappear at the next match; all this at 9 matches over a 3 month season.

MiniMax Media provided the solution with their new Portable Outdoor Display.  Whenever the team plays, wind, rain or shine,  the POD is there promoting the team, its supporters and sponsors in a professional manner. The Pacific Institute for Sports Excellence (PISE) on the Camosun College Interurban Campus grounds was going to have its first public party to show off its considerable capabilities and its fabulous new facility. They planned a wonderful event in conjunction with many local sponsors including Island Saving Credit Union, the title sponsor. Some of the branding and directional challenges involved the sheer size of the facility and its surrounding grounds. How would they direct vehicle traffic from Interurban Road to the event? Of the several possible approaches to the facility, how would they define the entrance effectively and finally once inside the grounds, how would they brand the event professionally, creatively and effectively? These were some of the known challenges when looking for solutions, what no one knew was that the day of the event was to be very blustry with several of the exhibitors tents taking short unplanned flights.

MiniMax Media was pleased to help in providing assistance to this wonderful community event by providing Portable Outdoor Displays. On Interurban Road we placed a large double sided POD to direct traffic to the event coming from both directions. At the entranceway we situated flanking POD's welcoming visitors, leaving absolutely no doubt about where they should enter the grounds. There was a wonderful ballon archway between the POD's leaving no doubt that this was an event that welcomed children as well as adults. There were also sponsor and program POD's in the exhibitor areas. All the POD's were placed where they would be the most effective at around 8 am and performed perfectly throughout the day, displaying a professional and creative image of both PISE and its supporters and by 4pm were wisked away to storage for next year when they will again be called upon to deliver the message.
